Sandy Ragona, M.S.Ed. has worked as a preschool teacher for handicapped children, an elementary/middle school teacher and a college instructor. She has been an elementary school counselor at J. F. Kennedy School in Dubuque, IA for the past 23 years. Sandy’s preventative and proactive approaches to creating programs and strategies have changed student behavior and school climate. Sandy has taught graduate courses in education, counseling, reading, human relations, quality schools, and homework. She teaches graduate courses twice a year for the elementary teachers at her school.

Sandy has authored/co-authored many books, including Hey Mom You Got a Minute, Early Intervention, Eliminating Bullying, Please Stop I Don’t Like That, Coming to School is Really Cool, and Becoming Someone's Hero. She has led professional workshops and seminars throughout the United States on topics such as counseling, storytelling, bullying, motivation, stress management, and parenting. Sandy’s passion is helping to make a difference in lives of students and teachers.
